The SPHERE Project is an educational program for general
practitioners. As a result, we are not able to provide clinical
advice or services. The contents of all SPHERE materials have
been prepared to assist general practitioners to treat patients
with depression and/or anxiety using pharmacological and/or
non-pharmacological approaches. They are not intended to be
used as self-treatment programs. All information is intended
as a guide only, for general practitioners to be used with
patients, and will be changed in response to future medical
and scientific advances. The disease management programs should
be used in association with a medical practitioner. Responsibility
for treatment decisions, especially drug prescribing, resides
with the individual doctor. Relevant information should be
explained and clarified by the doctor. The views expressed
within the materials are those of the authors and are not
those of any of the agencies, departments, pharmaceutical
companies or funding bodies which have provided support for
the distribution of SPHERE materials.
